Dear all,

Thank you for your continuous interests in the pilot program from Education Beyond (EB), powered by Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). Since the beginning of this year, all of us at EB have been excitedly planning the launch of the pilot program for Advanced Learners in Japan from January 2023. 

In preparation, EB has held 2 advocacy events in June and July with more than 1000 attendees in total; a “EB promo code” was subsequently launched in cooperation with CTY—waiving the US$60 registration fee for interested students/parents living in Japan. A third event, with CTY’s Senior Director for International Initiatives Mr. Samuel Robfogel, has just been concluded on Sunday, October 9th.

As you may be aware, on September 15 Johns Hopkins University announced the appointment of Dr. Amy Shelton as the new Executive Director for CTY from October 1st. As is often the case, it takes time for any new leadership to become familiar with and approve new projects. As a result, we regret to inform you that for now the original start date of January 2023 will be postponed until further notice.

While we know this is disappointing, EB will inform you of the pilot program’s new dates and location as soon as they become available. In the meantime, please note that your child can continue to register for CTY LIVE courses to be taken from home. For example, the table below lists several courses that will take place on Sunday mornings Tokyo time starting from January 2023.
